Assembly quality control measures for cable connectors

Quality control measures of XKE type cable connector
XKE series small circular electrical connectors have the characteristics of high contact density, good sealing performance, high reliability, and good three-proof performance. It has been widely used in aviation, aerospace, weapons, electronics and other industrial products. It is composed of a sealed body, a shell, a connecting nut, a socket (needle), an insulator and a positioning claw. It adopts bayonet connection, which is fast and self-locking. The single pinhole of this connector can be taken and sent, and the pinhole and wire are connected by crimping. Through the actual application of production, the main points of control measures for assembling XKE connectors are summarized.
(1) Selection of crimping wires, pins (holes), and crimping tools (equipment). The cross-sectional area of the wire is selected according to the size of the current through the wire.
(2) For XKE type connectors with shielding structure, the shielding sleeve of the cable should be welded on the flange circumference between the shielding outer sleeve and the shielding inner sleeve. It is strictly forbidden to compress the shielding sleeve only with the accessories of the connector. It may cause the shielding sleeve to be loose and fall off during use, resulting in an unreliable phenomenon of poor resistance contact.
(3) In order to avoid the hidden danger of short circuit caused by the short-circuit wire and the accessories of the connector, the short-circuit wire in the connector should be tied or split with a joint.
(4) Special supporting tools should be used for loading and unloading connector tail accessories. It should be ensured that the connector is connected reliably during installation, and it should be ensured not to damage the appearance of the connector during disassembly.
