What are the Automotive Connectors?

It relies on the elastic structure to be elastically deformed when it is inserted into the pin to generate elastic force to form close contact with the positive contact piece to complete the connection. There are many types of jack structures, including cylindrical (split, necking); tuning fork type; Cantilever type (longitudinal slotted); folded type (longitudinal slotted, 9-shaped); Box shape (square socket) and hyperboloid wire spring socket, etc.



II. The shell is the outer cover of the car connector. It provides mechanical protection for the built-in insulating mounting plate and pins, and provides alignment of the plug and socket when mating, and then fixes the connector to the device.

III. Insulators, insulators are also often referred to as car connector bases or inserts. Its function is to arrange the contact pieces according to the required position and spacing, and to ensure the insulation performance between the contact pieces and between the contact piece and the shell. Good insulation resistance, withstand voltage performance and easy processing are the basic requirements for selecting insulating materials to be processed into insulators.

IV. Accessories, accessories are divided into structural accessories and installation accessories. The Chinese automotive connector market still has great potential for development. In the future, each car will use 600-1,000 electronic connectors, far greater than the number used today.
China will become an important production base for global automotive connectors in the future. In addition to the existing first-line well-known international manufacturers, other manufacturers that have not yet set up factories in China will continue to increase because of local demand. Under the influence of factors such as localized procurement and cost advantages, production bases have gradually been established in China to supply the needs of local auto component manufacturers.
