Magnet wire is an insulated wire that generates a magnetic field or induces current in a magnetic field after being energized. It is mainly used for winding motors and transformers and other related electromagnetic equipment. The conductor is mainly copper wire, which should have a thin insulating layer and good electrical and mechanical properties, as well as heat resistance, moisture resistance, and solvent resistance. Choose different insulating materials to obtain different characteristics.
Wire composition structure:
Wire and cable consist of four parts: conductor, insulation layer, shielding layer and protective layer.
The conductor is the conductive part of the wire and cable, used to transmit electric energy, and is the main part of the wire and cable.
The insulating layer is to electrically isolate the conductor from the ground and the conductors of different phases from each other to ensure the transmission of electric energy. It is an indispensable part of the wire and cable structure.
Wires and cables of 15KV and above generally have conductor shielding layer and insulating shielding layer.
The protective layer
A protective layer is to protect the wire cable from external intrusion of impurities and moisture, and to prevent direct damage to the external power cable.
Wire manufacturing process
Start with copper slag. It does not have to be pure copper, anything, as long as it contains copper.
Because components that are not copper will melt in copper water. In order to reach the boiling temperature of the copper water, ultra-high pressure oxygen is pumped into the boiler.
The molten copper water (containing some impurities) flows into the mold. The mold is then immersed in water and cooled to a workable temperature.
After cooling, the molding die is sent to a giant electrolytic bath to remove impurities. The finished product is these much cleaner copper plates.
To make wires, the copper plates will be sent to the new workshop and melted again. The molten pure copper water is cooled and drawn into thicker copper bars. After the copper strips are stretched, they become wires of different diameters.
Naming of wires
The complete naming of cables is usually more complicated, so people sometimes use a simple name (usually the name of a category) combined with model specifications to replace the complete name. For example, "low voltage cable" represents all plastic insulated power cables of 0.6/1kV. The type spectrum of wire and cable is relatively perfect. It can be said that as long as the standard model specifications of the wire and cable are written, the specific product can be clarified. But what is its complete naming?
The naming principle of wires
The naming of wire and cable products has the following principles:
1. What's included in the product name
(1) Product application occasion or size category name
(2) Product structure material or type
(3) Important features or additional features of the product
Basically named in the above order, sometimes in order to emphasize important or additional features, the features are written to the front or the corresponding structure description.
