RVV soft sheathed wire
The full name of RVV wire: copper core PVC insulated PVC sheathed flexible wire, also known as light PVC sheathed cord, commonly known as soft sheathed wire, is a kind of sheathed cable. Mainly used in power lines, control lines and signal transmission lines for electrical appliances, meters, electronic equipment and automation devices. Specifically, it can be used in anti-theft alarm systems, intercom systems in buildings, etc.
Definition of RVV cable
The rated voltage is 300V/500V, and the number of cores ranges from 2 cores to 24 cores according to the national standard. Two or more cores are twisted into a cable, and the outer stranding direction is right. It is widely used in the control installation of instruments, meters, building intercom, monitoring and monitoring.
The meaning of the letters of the RVV cable
The letter R stands for flexible cord
The letter V stands for insulator polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
rvv wire is the most commonly used wire for weak current systems. The number of core wires is variable, two or more, and there is a PVC sheath on the outside, and there is no special requirement for the arrangement of the core wires.
The role of RVV sheath
For example: rvv 2*0.5 means 2 wires of 0.5 square millimeters plus a layer of outer sheath. The role of the sheath is
1. Protect the inner sheath of the cable from mechanical damage and chemical corrosion;
2. Enhance the mechanical strength of the cable.
Inspection requirements
RVV refers to the multi-strand copper core flexible wire, the logo on the external line, the thickness of the skin layer and the core. The skin layer is generally a polychloride material. The copper core is 19 strands twisted. The specifications are generally 1, 1.5, 2.5 square millimeters. Looking at the length of the line, the national standard line is 95-100 meters, and the non-standard line is about 90 meters.
